Keen to get the ultimate Insta snap? Look no further than L.A.

From palm tree-lined streets to iconic landmarks, trendy wall art and desserts that look (almost!) too good to eat, Los Angeles is a melting pot of Insta-worthy moments that are ready and waiting to be snapped, filtered and posted.

Get the ultimate street-style look at the ‘Made in LA’ mural or the bright pink Paul Smith wall on the uber-cool Melrose Avenue, nail the minimalist look at the Getty Center or dine at some of L.A.’s chicest and most photogenic eateries, including Commissary at The Line Hotel, Milk, Malibu Farm, and Chomp Eatery, where the cheese is rainbow-coloured and drinks are served in lightbulbs.

In L.A., your Insta-game will be on another level!

The Hollywood Sign

See it on foot, on horseback or even from above - the choice is up to you! Get up close and personal with the sign (just don’t touch!) by hitting the western frontier trails of Griffith Park. Keen for a challenge? The longest trail will take hikers above and behind the sign, giving you the iconic panoramic view of L.A. where the sign will read ‘DOOWYLLOH’. Otherwise enjoy a scenic and leisurely horseback ride from Griffith Park to the top of Mt. Hollywood, but if you really want to live it up, a helicopter ride is an unforgettable way to see it!

Griffith Observatory

The star of the hit Hollywood movie La La Land and the gateway to the Cosmos, the Griffith Observatory is a must-see when visiting the City of Angels. Sitting high up on Mt. Hollywood, the iconic observation deck overlooks the glittering city lights and offers a chance for visitors to see the stars like never before. Exhibits and telescopes are available free to the public, with 8 to 10 shows on offer each day. With the Hollywood Sign so close you can almost touch, it is also the perfect place to snap that iconic photo - hello new profile picture!

Urban Light Exhibit at LACMA

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is the ultimate destination to indulge in a little culture. Our top pick? A stunning cluster of 202 restored antique street lamps that light up the entrance near Wilshire Boulevard. Created by Chris Burden, the symmetrically-perfect display features the most ornate street lamps from Downtown L.A., Anaheim, Glendale, Hollywood and Portland. Featured in Vanity Fair and the popular movie No Strings Attached, the now iconic light installation is the perfect place to up your Insta game!

Alfred Coffee & Kitchen

With its chic monochromatic interior and now infamous saying ‘But first, coffee’, printed on the wall and on their coffee cup sleeves, Alfred Coffee is the place to be seen. Boasting locations in Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Silverlake, Studio City, Melrose Place and Melrose Avenue, coffee lovers will have no trouble picking up their favourite brew. It’s little sister Alfred Tea is just as Insta-worthy, with its floral wallpaper, stylish graphics and iconic pink tiling. Not a tea or coffee drinker? It’s still worth stopping by for that all-important Insta snap! They also sell totes and coffee cups emblazoned with the iconic Alfred sayings.
