The Neon Museum

Ever wondered what happens to the old Vegas signs? Well, they live on after all.

Located just north of downtown Las Vegas, the Neon Museum is home to over 150 refurbished signs that each have their own unique story to tell. Take an hour-long guided tour through the outdoor exhibition space known as the Neon Boneyard and discover the history of Vegas’ bright city lights.

Visit in the evening for your chance to see 7 completely restored signs lit up, and the other remaining signs illuminated by bright projection lights. Just don’t forget your camera - it’s not everyday you get up close and personal with a neon sign!

The Shops at Crystals

Boasting a collection of 50 of the world’s finest luxury brands and more than 15 flagship stores, including Gucci, Tom Ford, Celine and even a two-storey Louis Vuitton store, this retail precinct is a must for any fashionista looking for the next addition to their wardrobe.

Crystals promises a shopping experience like no other, with the precinct boasting a real aloe tree, a colourful, living flower “carpet” and even a treehouse-style restaurant where diners can sit, take a break and enjoy a meal. A tram is also available for shoppers and is perfect if you’ve quite literally shopped ‘til you dropped.

Conveniently located on Las Vegas Boulevard, Crystals is like it’s own city and requires a full day to ensure you see everything that it has to offer. It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before!

Located within the Fremont Street Experience, an outdoor shopping mall and entertainment mecca, those brave enough can climb the 12-storey slot-machine inspired attraction and zipline down the bustling promenade over shoppers and in between casinos and retail stores.

Flyers zip along at 60kph and can choose from two ways to fly, with the lower “Zipline” starting off from 77 feet in the air, and sees flyers take off in a seated position before landing on the pedestrian promenade.

The higher “Zoomline” takes off from 114 feet in the air and whisks flyers down to a platform outside the city’s historic Golden Gate casino. This superhero-style of flying offers uninterrupted views of the Fremont Street Experience, the party that never ends!

New York New York Hotel & Casino

There’s no need to sit on a plane for an extra 5 hours when this iconic Vegas hotel brings the best of the Big Apple straight to you.

A faux-urban version of New York, this must-see hotel features an 84,000-square-foot casino complete with faux cobblestone and a food court that has been modelled after a New York brownstone in Greenwich Village (think Sesame Street!). Live like a New Yorker and wander down narrow laneways, past the drycleaners and find a great little hole-in-the-wall serving up some of the best pizzas and burgers you’ve ever tasted - let’s just say it’s cool factor is way up there.

Popular bands and DJ’s are also known to pop up on Brooklyn Bridge, so don’t be surprised to come across spontaneous dance parties on your way home from dinner. The T-Mobile Arena is also just a short walk away, so if you’ve ever dreamt of seeing the likes of Justin Timberlake, Bon Jovi, U2 or even the UFC live in action, now is your chance!

The hotel is also home to three Lady Liberty statues, including the outdoor version, one made of jellybeans and another made of Hershey’s chocolate, because Vegas. And if you’re brave enough, the Big Apple Coaster twists and turns above the hotel and is the perfect activity for those seeking some heartstopping action - keep in mind, it can be a little noisy so if you’re not like a typical New Yorker and used to the constant rumbling noise, be sure to request a room away from the coaster so you can get some rest. But hey, it’s Vegas - what’s sleep?
